How the Lord Provides

So I thought I would take this oppurtunity to tell you some wonderful things God is doing in my life. First, let's talk money. My DH paycheck was larger then expected. Second, there is a dinner at my church for couples. It costs $20, but because I signed up for the Mom's Morning Out program that didn't work I get to go for free. And third, I got a job offer. It's funny because I've been asking the Lord to provide me with a job, but I didn't know how to find one or know that I was making the right choice. Well, yesterday when I was shopping at Gymboree the new store manager said, "how would you like a job here." I was like "yes, please". I really think the Lord led me to this place, so please pray for me. I am turning in my application later today and leaving it in God's hands. The second thing I want to talk about is food. There are many things that the Lord has done like Angel Food and helping me become a crazy coupon lady LOL. In fact, I have been spending much less on our groceries and we have more food then ever now. Isn't it great! Just the other day a large box arrived. I couldn't remember ordering anything so I was excited to see what was inside. Turns out it was 4 boxes of rice. A company I had complained to like a year ago had sent me the boxes thanking me for helping them find a problem in their production line. So, don't lose hope. The Lord provides and he helps me survive.

Today's Deals

Don't forget that today is the last day to score 3 2-Liters of Dr. Pepper from Publix. Buy 3 and use the coupon ($2 off a purchase of 3) from the yellow advantage flyer to score them for $1 plus tax.

Also Walgreen's is offering a video DVD of pictures for only $1. This is something you have to do at the kiosk so it could take some time. I don't have the energy to do this today, but I hope some of you do. Pick up the flyer inside the store and have fun making your movie.

Publix Trip

So I just wanted to let you all know that I purchased 4 Ragu spaghetti sauces and 1 Klondike bar and was able to use the Parade magazine coupon with no problems. I was also able to get 8 reuseable shopping bags for free. Go here to print the coupons for the free bags. With every 2 General Mills products you buy you can get a free bag. There are also coupons for $1 off Ground Beef when you buy Hamburger Helper. I bought 4 pounds today and since they are on sale it makes them about $1 a pound. And don't forget that Hamburger Helper is B1G1.

Publix coupon in Parade magazine

Just a head's up to let you know there is a $5 off $15 worth of Unilever products in this Sunday's Parade magazine. Could be really good with the Ragu and Klondike bar sales. Do you think that the free items count towards the $15 worth. It doesn't say spend $15 save $5 it says buy $15 worth. So if Ragu is B1G1 and they are $2.50 each that is $5 towards the $15 correct?

Join My Village

Head on over to joinmyvillage.com and sign up to help impoverished women and girls in Malawi. General Mills let me know about this project and here is what they have to say about it.

Malawi is among the world's least developed and most densely-populated countries in the world.

Join My Village is setting out to drive measurable and long-term positive impact with women and families in Africa by tapping into the inherent power of women to connect with, and provide strength for, other women.

Here’s how you can get involved:
  • Visit JoinMyVillage.com and join one of ten village teams to benefit approximately 75 villages in Malawi.
  • Participate in simple online activities that “unlock” General Mills donations to fund CARE’s poverty fighting programs in the Malawi villages. (Limit of 3 activities per person per day, and unlocking up to $15,000 per online village team or $150,000 in total.)

To learn more about Join My Village and help unlock funds to empower women and girls in Malawi visit JoinMyVillage.com.

This has got to be one of the easiest and best way to help others. I hope you all sign up!
